Multiplexers
Some of Westica's radio products contain in-built multiplexer functions e.g. MRR400M to enable customer services to be provided directly from the radio terminal.
However, to ensure that each radio terminal offers the best cost efficiency, high capacity products are offered with the option to connect an external multiplexer unit. Three products have been developed to be fully complementary to the Westica radios giving the ability to support POTS, analogue voice circuits, Ethernet and synchronous and asynchronous data services.
the MRM1500 connects to the radios using an X.21 interface with the MBM2000 having a standard E1, G703 connection. The final product the MBM8000 has 4 x E1 interfaces and an E2 (8Mbit/s) aggregate which can be presented either as an electrical or optical interface.
